Hi everyone! catiereader is signing back in! I'm back and I am sorry I kept you waiting. A lot has been going on these last few weeks so I'll give you a brief update: BIG E-TOWN SWIM MEET, my cousin's wedding shower, my other cousin came over, and my grandpa just had surgery, like, 2 days ago. So, now back to books. Unfortunately, I still haven't finished Jane Eyre so, I decided to read another challenge book. It is called The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton L. Stewart. This book has kept me on my toes (figuratively) and up reading until 1:00 am in the morning (literally) !!!

Now that you know what book I'm reading and that I really like it, it is time for me to tell you just what The Mysterious Benedict Society is all about. There are 4 main characters: Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance and they are on a mission. Oh! And they are not just on any old mission... they are on a mission to save the world from evil, evil  Mr./Dr. Curtain!!!!!!!!!!! In this book, the children use their intelligence, intellect, imagination, and instinct (which they certainly have a lot of:) to help save the world. (hopefully...)

A Special Behind the Scenes Tour - How The Mysterious Benedict Society can hopefully save the world
  1. Disguise - The Mysterious Benedict Society will have to dress up as students going to the L.I.V.E. ( Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened) , Mr./Dr. Curtain's school for very intelligent orphans which he uses as a cover for the real  evil undercover work he is acutely doing there.
  2. Do good on tests - The Mysterious Benedict Society will have to try their hardest to spot the patterns and other things like that on Mr./Dr. Curtain's tests that seem nonsense but, really have secret meanings.
  3. Get upgraded to Messengers - The Mysterious Benedict Society will have to get upgraded to messengers by doing good on tests. (space is limited) Messengers are kind of like Mr./Dr. Curtains minions, they do his dirty work for him without knowing it. They even get special privileges such as sitting at their own special lunch tables, leaving class early to do their minion work, and wear special uniforms that are made especially for messengers!
  4. Keep informed with Mr. Benedict - The Mysterious Benedict Society will need to inform Mr. Benedict of what Mr./Dr. Curtain is doing (Mr. Benedict is  The Mysterious Benedict Society's employer/friend.)  The only way they can keep him informed is by send him Morse code flashlight flashes in which he will answer back using the same thing. Only one tiny detail I just about for got to mention... they have to do it in secret, late at night, and watch out for executives. Executives are Mr./Dr. Curtains evil minions who actually do know that they are doing bad work. They are the ones who teach the classes, monitor the hallways, and help Mr./Dr. Curtain in between all of that.
  5. Get back safe... and alive - The Mysterious Benedict Society will have to try to save the world and after they do that, if they even do that, will try to get back safe ... and alive.
I hope that you enjoyed my blog for this week. I also hope that you may be persuaded to read The Mysterious Benedict Society and the many other books that I write about next time. I should be writing about the second book in this series next time but, I'll just have to see how it turns out. I'm catiereader and I'm signing out. Bye!!!
